Home Assistant documents a focused local speech path for modest hardware and a more flexible path that needs substantially more compute. The owner chooses the language, hardware, and pipeline.

It is a good fit for people who want to assemble and tune their own automation system.

Domovoy adds the person

Home Assistant will be Domovoy's device boundary. Domovoy will keep identity, private per-person memory, AI Passport access, permission checks, confirmation, revocation, and receipts in its own control plane.

Home Assistant knows how to control a device. Domovoy knows who is asking and what that person allowed. The model receives no broad Home Assistant credential.
